The Nightingale Collection
In 2001, with a view to preparing a collection that would represent the core of our library, the library’s management committee resolved to introduce the Nightingale Collection, which has been on display since the 2002 Matriculation Ceremony.
The 28 valuable and original articles in the Collection include a first edition of Notes on Nursing by Florence Nightingale, two handwritten letters composed by the author, a book personally signed and donated by Nightingale, as well as several other texts and articles by the nursing pioneer. The case in which the special exhibition is held also features commentary in braille.
